Hi, I'm Rachel!
I'm a product design manager currently leading design for Thrivent’s digital servicing product team. After years as a visual designer cutting my teeth in digital product delivery agency-side at Fjord, now part of Accenture Song, I was the second design hire to the new digital experience design team at Thrivent. I have since helped scale it to its current size of nearly 20 designers ranging from mid-level to staff designers and other leads.
I now define and manage design strategy and experience maturation over time for the Thrivent's digital client experience. I partner with product and engineering leadership and mentor my team in crafting experiences for both our responsive web and iOS/Android mobile apps.
Outside my day job I have a couple startup side projects where I’m going solo on the entire end-to-end design process — UX, UI, design systems, iconography, branding, prototyping, the works.
When I'm not designing, I spend a lot of time in prayer, Mass, and Adoration! I also love reading, finding fun things to do around Dallas with friends, playing piano, watching movies, and doing 1000-piece puzzles.
